The King’s Brazil Institute is delighted to host the launch of Harvest in Times of Drought and we hope you will be able to join us and three of the co-authors to celebrate this landmark publication. The book explores questions of sustainable development and collective pedagogies in the Brazilian Amazon, and features artwork and firsthand accounts of community upheaval caused by drought and industrialisation.
The launch is dedicated to Maria Silva, one of the book’s co-authors, assassinated on May 24, 2011. It will inspire anyone interested in Latin America, Pedagogy, Applied Theatre and Performance Studies, Arts for Social Transformation, Agrarian Reform.
